Forgiveness -Why Forgive?

Why Forgive?

We all have pain in our life,  we all know we should forgive and let go.  We don’t want to forgive because if we forgive they will do it again.

Karmic Connection: Did you know when you hold onto pain you create a negative karmic bondage with that person and the pain becomes a vicious circle.

Stop repeating the hurt: Once a person has hurt us once and moved on with their life – how many times do we hurt ourselves after the event?    Now, is that an effective use of our precious life?   Do we love to be hurt constantly after the event. Sure wrong was done, but it happened yesterday, last week, last month,  last year  , 20 years ago.  The one who hurt us – did their hurt and moved on.  And I remain stuck.   I not living in the present, not creating a new life, happy, meaningful, successful life.  I am stuck in the past – awaiting for physical ill health, emotional stress and even depression.   I know – I know when we have been hurt! it is not easy.    Yet holding onto the pain is keeping the hurt alive , and stopping us from living today. It has gone , It happened, Let go ,  Let go, Let go and Live.  Just grow strong, resilient not to be phased again by these silly  insensitive acts. Be strong and whatever they say or do – it don’t matter, I have the supreme if I believe, or I have my own internal strength, or I have both.

So,  today I was thinking to myself . Well,  actually forgiving is a no-brainer!  Why on earth do I want to stay in pain?    Forgiving doesn’t mean what they did was right.  But forgiving is necessary for me to live, and reduce the karmic bondage.   Also,  the law of Karma is taking note – let it do it’s job and you live your life.   But, never  curse a person by saying Karma will catch up with them either -as this become a negative Karmic account on your.

So Why Forgive?- Well, why not ?  Or are you happy to remain in pain your entire life.  To become riddled with  physical and emotional health issues?

There many who have experience atrocities in their life.  Most of them have Forgiven.  Why?   So that they can enjoy the rest of their life.  Let us read a few of their wise words.  We all know their stories (if not google their stories).    If they can say this after what they have gone through, the I have to I say to myself ; come on get forgiving, it is a no-brainer, do I want to live a full happy successful life?

I don’t think of all the misery, but of all the beauty that still remains.  – Anne Frank

When we are no longer able to change a situation – we are challenged to change ourselves.  – Victor E Frankl

No one has the right to do wrong, not even if a wrong has been done to them.  – Victor E Frankl

As I walked out the door towards the gate that would lead to my freedom, I knew if I didn’t leave my bitterness and hatred behind I’d still be in Prison.    –Nelson Mandela.

Let us be inspired to change our life, to be happy, to be successful, to live our dreams, to let go , let go, to forgive, to have faith in myself that I can handle it all.  I am a powerful soul, a royal soul, a forgiving soul.  I am wise and I understand why I should forgive , let go  and know in time I will forget.  I will learn the lesson that makes me wise, keeps me safe and makes me strong to manage whatever might come my way.

I forgive, I let go – I live – I trust – I shine.  I can handle it all.   I will always shine the best version of me to myself and the world no matter what hurt I have been subjected to, for I am a good soul and I will shine bright.

    1. Hi Miriam, So glad the post spoke to you. Thank you for your comment and you are right no point holding on to anger and hurt – we only hurt and damage our selves. One of the other bloggers mentioned – when we forgive we don’t have to forgive in person – but it is the letting go from the heart (Kat – from thehappymeerkat).

Speak soon have a good day. Bella

      1. She’s so right, so long as we can forgive from the heart, even if words aren’t spoken, it’s a step towards healing. Thanks Bella, have a great day. xo

  1. For many years I hated the idea of forgiving someone because it was like telking them it’s okay you get away with it…But I now know forgiveness is about us. You don’t have to forgive someone in person either to forgive them, forgiveness is about us and letting go :). Amazing post, really speaks to me.

    1. Hi Kat, Yes you are right you don’t have to forgive that person face to face -that is a very important point – I forgot to mention (next post on forgiveness – I will remember). I know what you mean – if we forgive they will do it again. Actually, they will do it again regardless. Yes forgiveness if for us and our happiness you are right. We have to make ourselves strong, and sometimes strong to speak to them if they hurt us again, or strong to ignore them. We feel we are not strong enough – but we are. And frankily -It just an insult and just words. I forgot to link my It is jUst an insult post – you should read that – you will like that. We must forgive for our physical and emotional health and to enjoy life.

Take care. I have suddenly become busy our of the blue – something exciting. I am not sure how I am going to manage to blog.

Take care – you are doing very well with all your blogging and book review.

      2. Yes, Kat, let us keep in touch. I have figured out the schedule tool, got it wrong a couple of time and i just didn’t post anything. I landed a part time job with the company I worked with over 2 years ago. At that time I was full time, and I just did not approach them for a part time job because I thought no way it wont happen. I haven’t worked for 2 year 2 months. Initially I took time off, but them mummy had a second heart attach and had a pace maker fitted. before that she had a triple heart by pass. so she is so weak and not the same. She is working with a new normal, but this heat wave is too much, So let see if 3 days a week works out. for a couple of weeks I have to work the schedule of the person leaving, then i will work my part time schedule. let see. today was a little catch up and oh my – it was so hard to be back in an office and do the tube…

        speak soon.

      3. Oh I understand that commute nightmare. I don’t like getting all squashed during a commute in the cool weather and with today’s heat :/
Good luck with the job, the weather should die down now…hopefully. Don’t overwork yourself whatever happens. Hope the job continues to go well ❤
