Instruments of Peace

Lord Make us Instruments of Your Peace

I accidentally found this beautiful song, which is actually a Prayer – A Prayer of Peace by St. Francis of Assisi.

It is beautiful and I just had to share.   When words are beautiful, one go past the divisions of countries , religions, and of race/casts.

Can you imagine if we all all become so generous ?  My motto is” be the change you want to see in the World” – Gandhi.    This prayer in song form is just so beautiful and so inspiring to me.  I hope you like it too.

Lyrics of the prayer
————————————-
Lord, Make us instruments of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let your love increase
Lord, make us instruments of your peace,
Walls of pride and prejudice shall cease
When we are your instruments of peace.

Where there is hatred, we will show his love
Where there is injury, we will never judge
Where there is striving, we will speak his peace
To the people crying for release,
We will be his instruments of peace

Lord, Make us instruments of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let your love increase
Lord, make us instruments of your peace,
Walls of pride and prejudice shall cease
When we are your instruments of peace.

Where there is blindness, we will pray for sight
where there is darkness, we will shine his light
Where there is sadness, we will bear their grief
To the millions crying for release,
We will be your instruments of peace.

Lord, Make us instruments of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let your love increase
Lord, make us instruments of your peace,
Walls of pride and prejudice shall cease
When we are your instruments of peace.

        1. Gloria, i hope I didnt say anything to offend, certainly not my intention. A good few blogger like St Francis. My point was that i am of an indian background. And i found the words of the prayer lovely and inspiring . Additionally, i researched st francis story and in relation to his story, i stated it is interesting how life shapes us influences us . ST francis was captured in a war a held imprisoned for a year and that apparently was hus turning point… i found his story interesting. That is all i tried to express in my comment. I am trying to use the wp mobile app to be more efficient, but my typos have increased so i have to becareful clearly.. have a beautiful weekend and sorry if i offended it was not intended at all
