The Power to Withdraw
A tortoise carries its shell with it. It retreats into his shell when it is time to rest or to escape from danger.

When I reflect, contemplate and spend time introspectively, I withdraw in a proactive way. I withdraw with an intention to build inner peace and silence. Through meditation, we step inside and connect with I the Soul and The Divine. The Divine is the Ocean of Peace. When I meditate I connect to that Ocean of Peace and that peace will transfer to I, the Soul. I become more and more peaceful, calm, content and stable.
Meditation allows me to step inwards intentionally, to carve out time for inner peace and silence. I build an inner strength of peace. I build a fortress, a shell of the tortoise that I can step into anytime to make myself peace, calm, silent and whole.
Withdrawing doesn’t mean escaping from the world. It simply means reconnecting with my inner peace, with silence and drawing the power from and filling myself “the Soul” with that strength.
The power to withdraw is the power to choose to come inside and meditate in the midst of a busy day. For a few seconds, I withdraw to return refreshed and charged.
I attach a meditation you may wish to try, it is called Stepping Inwards by Anthony Strano. It is a lovely meditation and I hope you try it out. I think the meditation is very useful, may be to do at the end of the day, or when you are feeling a bit fraught.

When we take time to reflect inwardly and repair what is broken inside, then we can live happily. Each day we face many tests, some small some big . Meditation can used to build the power to withdraw even only for a minute and it allows us to restore peace of mind.
This is a reblog of an old post , be sure to read the original.

I call it my quiet time…Early morning works for me. It’s usually time to pray, read my Bible and then plan for the day’s work. Peace and quiet is what we need to keep going in our all rushed up lives.

Meditation has and mindfulness has become all the rage in America today. If a person has anxiety issues they probably would have a hard time focusing their thoughts during meditation. To a great extent meditation is like charging an organic battery. It is great that you found an activity that can center you. If you could check out my blog and tell me what you think that would be greatly appreciated.

What setup steps would you recommend? I am a good writer, but not so much of a graphic designer.

I am not a designer either. The very first thing you should do and it is what i do constantly. Look at you website as a reader and see what doesnt work , and change it. Look at other websites for inspiration.
When i visit your website it feels you havent filled in your words of the word press template theme..making your website look as if you have just started.
So go to your website as a visitor not the author and it will beclear. I like your theme and your blog but you have a few words that are wordpresz templates and thats what spoiling the overall lovely vibe. But this just a humble opinion you dont have to follow i am no expert…

Bella, I totally agree that we need to withdraw into silence and solitude on a regular basis. I start each day with prayer and inspirational/spiritual reading. After I make breakfast for my husband, my dog, and myself, I sit in my favorite chair with my coffee and that is my quiet time for prayer, reading, and researching new things (usually my dog sits on my lap for a while during this — he is a 53 lb. Standard Poodle who thinks he’s a lap dog). I cuddle with him and that always brings me peaceful, joyful feelings.
I don’t always meditate, but I listen to a lot of uplifting and inspirational radio programs and audiobooks. I also make sure to watch or listen to things that make me laugh on a regular basis. Laughter is very healthy and cleansing to the soul, I believe! 😀

Not always easy to withdraw. Our pride sometimes gets in the way.

True… thanks for reading and commening. This is more about withdrawing from life for a moment or two in meditation and building the power of silence.. the more silent we become the ego also becomes less impactful and we become stronger in silence.. i hope that makes sense? Thanks again for reading and commenting
