I came across this by Dr Kent Keith and it was first written in 1968. It was said Mother Theresa loved it so much a version it was hung in the hospital of Culcatta.

I hope you enjoy -full credit and acknowledgement to the author Dr Kent Keith.

This is beautiful..

The Paradoxical Commandments
by Dr. Kent M. Keith. 1968

People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered.
Love them anyway.

If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Do good anyway.

If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.
Succeed anyway.

The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.

Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway.

The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest men and women with the smallest minds.
Think big anyway.

People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs.
Fight for a few underdogs anyway.

What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
Build anyway.

People really need help but may attack you if you do help them.
Help people anyway.

Give the world the best you have and you’ll get kicked in the teeth.
Give the world the best you have anyway.

By Dr Kent Keith

I can’t express how much I love this.  It encapsulates my life, everything of my life.

Our character, integrity, humility, kindness, compassion, morality and human-ness(made up word) is in doing the right thing even if you get kicked!

Heaven is a place on earth where humans are in harmony.

Hell is a place on earth where humans are in disharmony.

Therefore, change our character and behaviour . Do good anyway, When you do good karma and reap good karma..

Choice is always ours, to do that which is right? Or to do that which is wrong? The choice and consequences is ours to reap.

NO MATTER WHAT DO THE RIGHT THING ANYWAY.  EVEN IF YOU ARE INSULTED.

  1. You did it again, Bella! “What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
Build anyway.”—I’ve experienced this a few times in my life, but it hasn’t stopped me! I suspect there are many others who feel the same!
