Quotes for Mothers Day
In the UK Mothers day falls in March. This year it falls on 11th March 2018.
I know many of you have lost your mothers, and some are still lucky to have them, like I am. I lost my dad 25 years ago on the 5th April, so we are always emotional anyway at this time of year. My mum has gone through so much in her life and she was only 48 when she lost dad. I treasure her. Actually, I have always treasured both my parents because they are my world. But, I learnt when dad passed away, you must be strong in your own right. We are dependant but interdependant if that makes sense.
I hope you enjoy a few quotes I got from a book called ” Thoughts to Share with a Wonderful Mother” – by A blue moutain Arts collection.
To those of you whose mother is not here, a massive massive hug, with all my love and good wishes to you always. I hope that tears do not flow, but of course they will. But, always remember she was YOUR mother, YOUR gift, to treasure in your heart for ever.
Mother is the name for God in the lips and heart of little Children. – William Makepeace Thackeray.
The Mothers’s heart is the Child’s schoolroom – Henry Ward Beecher
Oh, the love of a Mother, Love which none can forget – Victor Hugo.
When God thought mother, He must have laughed with satisfaction, and framed quickly – so rich, so deep, so divine, so full of Soul, power and beauty, was the concept – Henry Ward Beecher.
