Do Yourself a Favour – Let Go!

If something hurts you,  Let it go immediately.

Don’t let it penetrate your heart and poison your mind,

and steal your peace and calm.

Do yourself a favour and let go of it immediately.

For the seed of pain will grow into some sort of health issue, emotional issue or something..

We are the creator of our thoughts, therefore we are the creator of the pain.

Though the pain may have been inflicted by another.  We are the ones who choose to hold onto it  and repeat the pain again and again.!

It is Impossible I hear you say, but everything is possible if you only try ..

The word IMPOSSIBLE says I’m Possible –  Audrey Hepburn

If we can fly to the moon, then, what is not possible.

The thing is, we are attached to our pain, we do not want to let it go. For some weird reason!  

You will never find peace in another,

if you can not find peace in yourself.

If you can not validate and let go,

if you can not stop taking things personally,

if you do not understand yourself  you cannot be peaceful.

Start small, let go of any pain immediately.  Say to yourself, it is okay, it just words and may I need to hear them or may I not.

I encourage to

journal,

meditate,

affirm

and conduct gratitude daily.

I promise you your world will change, cause my life changed when I started this 15 years ao.

Parting thought

When you journal and challenge /validate your thinking daily or weekly, you break the patterns of negative thinking.

When you meditate daily, read and practise positive affirmations you create space for positivity in your life.

IT IS POSSIBLE TO CHANGE your old dependencies on negative thinking and thought patterns.  

Then one day you will wake up/ or do something and say wow – I didn’t react the way I would normally.

and

then you will see the fruit of your efforts

and

then you will believe it is possible.

P.S.  It is not a one time task, this is a lifelong task – try it for  3 months and you will see the change in you.  Additionally, not all pain is inflicted by another, you could the reason for the mistake, so promise yourself not to make the mistake again, learn, grow and let go of the feeling embarrassment.

  1. I love the quote by dr. Dyer. It is so true that we actually decide what our attitude and what our reaction is going to be. Let’s make the right choice.
    Like you I also learned to do this a long time ago and you all revolutionize a person’s life if they can grasp this principle.

  2. I found your blog so inspiring and informative. I believe you’re absolutely right we have to let things go because holding onto them does no good whatsoever to our mental and physical health. As a Buddhist and someone has been meditating for many years, part of my daily routine is focusing on letting go of anger, attachment and ignorance. In Buddhism we have a very famous saying which goes like this… holding onto anger is like gripping a red hot coal with the intention of throwing it at someone, it’s only you getting burned. It’s so true and meditation is the only real way to let go Or at least to train the mind how to let go. As most people know though meditation isn’t that easy for some people and it’s really hard to grasp. I’m sad to say that many people give up at the first hurdle which is why I’ve put together on my blog, 10 top tips on how to overcome problems with meditation.     1. Thank Julie for your lovely comment and sharing your thoughts on meditation . I agree meditation is a good way to let go ultimately. But there are in between tools that i feel help as well. Meditation is not easy for many and it happens slowly over time if we dont give up too quickly. Tegards Bella

      1. Yes I agree, I actually believe a person must want to let go and not everybody does. For some people I find being in what I call “victim mode “is easier and it gets them the recognition that they so badly crave. Many people hang on to bitterness and sadness through fear of losing the feeling it gives. Sometimes holding onto these emotions is easier than letting go and having to work at a positive future don’t you think?

  3. Super wise! I too have noticed this, just let the pain of the past go, even the pain of the present. It can only control you as long as you hold on to it. But if doesn’t serve you, and holding onto pain and unpleasantness never does, there’s no need to entertain it.

    Sometimes a bit of pain helps in directioneering and discovery. Learn the lessons of life, but allow the pain to run off, like water off a duck’s back. It is not safe to let it define you. We don’t need to construct our own prison cells.

    1. Thank you. So true. It isnt just the old stories, it is the new ones too. When we have a habit of holding on , we will do tge the same with new situation. To break the habit we have to let go of all pain and in a posituve and healthy way.
