  1. 1) for me I started blogging as hobby and to keep myself busy!! With the grace of God have made good friends! As far as money making I think sometimes but can not give enough time which it requires! So I keep my purpose continued that is to enjoy blogging.
    2) about mailing list have not seen that portion much as have been reading less mails. Which I feel I need too start soon.
    8) I spend approximately 2 hours or so depending more too. For time being I am looking for job!! Try keeping myself busy in other activities too.
    9) number of post written a day is not fixed as I don’t want lose the quality of writing if I am not getting topics in my mind.
    10) no . Of posts published try to keep frequent.
    11) for me social media haven’t given me much positive response like Facebook or Instagram.
    12) I like spending more time in WordPress as I get to interact with the bloggers a lot with reciprocative response which I found more healthy and good than social media .

  2. I have an online business which has a blog attached. I also run 2 more blogs!
1 is a lot more fun than the other. Both are set up to create opportunity for monetisation, while giving value to the reader. Freedom2try.com, this account, was set up to share what we learned.
A mailing list is great for promoting new material, and for direct sales… if you have something to sell.
2 of my 3 sites are WordPress.org – 1 is blogspot. Check out the Business part of my blog where I have a piece on self hosting. There are many benefits to self hosting, but it can also be a challenge. Finding a good host is the main problem. (My most recent blog is blogspot… I’m sure I’ll get round to writing a post on why that is.)
Everyone has something to sell. My business sells real value… I don’t sell at my other 2 blogs. They are about sharing useful information in hope of building traffic.
Digital downloads/premium network ads for the business. Limited Adsense for the other 2 blogs.
Yes… we pay tax/eu tax just like any self employed person.
Yes re affiliates, but we don’t generate that much from this for whatever reason. So we focus on other things that work.
No day job – we work full time on our business/blogs.
Each blog/site has its own number for posts/content per period. From once a week to 1/2 a month.
    As above.
99% of our marketing is free. Social media works. It’s a matter of finding what works for you. Pinterest is by far the best. By far.
Zero other bloggers (unless this counts?) 10% maintenance 60-70% content creation 10-20% writing posts. 20% promotion/ social media.

    Done!

  3. What is your main blogging goal? To write as a hobbie, to make money, to do both, or just be creative?
🦋 I do a bit of all that…;ess on the money side.
Is a mailing list necessary and why?
🦋 Depends on what you want “out there” and why it’s important to you.
Why should you go self hosted? What is the reason, the benefit the need? But, if you are paying for your wordpress account do you need to be self hosted ? Why?
🦋 I don’t know enough about this one to respond.
    What is a sales funnel?
    🦋 Don’t know.
How are you making money blogging?
🦋 I don’t. However, I do sell a few of my books when people use my
If you are making money, then what tax do you pay? What about international tax? Are an employer , limited company or self employed ( these UK terminologies, i dont know for your country).
🦋 I think you need to check the maximum income before it becomes a taxable income with your tax office. It’s possibe you are at a ‘hobby’ level so you don’t pay tax But again, check wth your tax office.
Do you use affilated links and how does that work , and how does that get managed see question 5?
🦋 I don’t have enough experience with this one to answer right now.
How many hours do you spend blogging? Do you have a day job?
🦋 No paid day job but I spend my blogging time around family commitments–which can be full on some weeks.
🦋 How many blog posts do you write a day?
Well, somestime none but I often work on a few at a time and schedule each post in advance for when I’m not online.
How many blog posts do you write a week?
    🦋 2 -3 but again, they’re usually scheduled ahead.
What do you think of social media marketing? Is it working? Do you do it for free or paid?
🦋 I wouldnt bother unless I wanted to make a comfortable income.
How much time do you spend on a blog post? How time of on social media? How much time connecting with other bloggers?
🦋 When scheduling a blog post, I can rechecked a week before and pre-view the day before it goes live. FB is for family and close friends so that will depend on activity. I connect with about 20 other bloggers every day/posts and then check blogs I follow on the weekend or ‘reading’ nights. But followers and blogs I follow can often be more important than blogging itself.

I enjoy writing. I write off line often and sometimes long hours but I may work on more article/blog post at a time.

I also enjoy reading so much of my spare time is devoted to reading other posts.

My suggestion is to work out what you really want out of your blogging,

    I hope that helps. 🙂

    1. Thank you for taking the time to read and respond.

I know i can get the tax question and business set up questions from the tax man.

At the moment my blogging is a hobby and i think will always be that.

I love my part time job and that pays right.

But, i guess i want to understand more of these things to understand can i be bothered, 2) can this lead to passive income. . But my issue is how and what to make money on. My blog is a hobby and i cant see or do i want to change that it is a labour of love and self development.

But i just want to figure out how it works for those who make money to see if i could..if i ever want too in the future. Right now i am happy with my life as it is. No need to rock the boat, but also one should plan for the future too.

      If that makes sense.

Again thanks for taking time to answe the quedtions. Appreciate your te and advise.

      1. 🦋 Nworries. As I said, work out what you want from the blog before you dive in. A business site is not cheap it it continues like a blog but if it grows, getting a domain and upgrading will need to be considered. Best wishes in whatever you decide. 🙂
