Every evening for a couple of minutes, contemplate your day.
- What didn’t go so well and why? How could it have been different?
- What went well?
- Write 5 things that you are grateful for today
- Write some affirmations.
End the session with an acknowledgement that you did your best. That you are improving day by day. Thank the day for all it gave you and thank the day for what it taught you. Thank yourself for all that you have achieved no matter how small, because every baby step forward is a baby step forward.
If the day was not good, then know that after sleeping you will feel better and tomorrow is a new start. But, no matter how bad the day is there is always something to be grateful for eg… a warm bed, bath, food, loved ones.
When we contemplate our day regularly we appreciate our life and the journey. We live. We are mindful. We become happy because we are growing and holding ourself accountable to living our best life. We compare ourself with ourself, to improve ourself.

I have a similar routine that works for me … one at the beginning and at the end of each day 🙂

Wonderful reminder. I tend to end my day with gratitude and with a positive mantra before sleep.

That is a very positive habit to end the day with and set you up for a great start to the next day

I really agree wholeheartedly with this post. Setting up a night routine similar to this can really help you end your day in a positive light.
