New Year – Good bye 2020 and Hello 2021

A New Year is a NEW Day.

Newness is in the way I think and feel and behave.

Newness is in my attitude and my being.

Night may turn into day, but if I have not made significant changes in my mindset, headset, or heart set a New Year is just another another day.

In fact a New Year can be anytime of the year. Because, a New Year is when we have a new vision, a new thought and we implement it into our life.

Otherwise it is really just another day.

A new day , A new year, A new me can only happen when I implement changes into my life. Only when I make new habits that replace old bad habits. When I consistently keep the new habit for year or longer.

We don’t need to wait for the 1st January to make a new. We can make a new in February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October or December. We can make a new this morning, or this afternoon. There is nothing magical about the 1st of January. I tend to make a NEW on my birthday in August, then in November (randomly), and any other time of the year. I rarely make a new on the 1st of January (because I am always ill around this time of the year) – lol!

So don’t feel bad if you don’t start the new year – New, because it is not the only chance you have to start a new. However, remember the saying that says “Tomorrow Never Comes”, “strike whilst the iron is hot”.

As Gandhi said ” Be the change your want to see in the world”.

Change your mind, Change your life that is the only thing you can control.

Wishing you all a happy New Year with a new mindset, heart set, and thought set.

And thank you all for all the love and support you have given me and this blog. Thank you so much. Stay safe, Stay Well, and be wise!!

  1. I loved how you said – mindset, headset, heartset! Our intentions become part of the flow that doesn’t really look at the calendar πŸ™‚ Each day is a new opportunity to make a small difference or big. January 1 is a big energy for me yes because of how collectively we are leaving behind this lived year and beginning to live the next. I feel gratitude emerge for what has been and what will be. Yet it still feels part of the continuum – no drastic changes, just continued in small increments.

    1. Happy new year and have a great year ahead.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful and thoughtful and experienced comment. I learn a lot from you.

You are right the 1st January as a lot of energy behind it and I too feel it this year. I rarely feel energetic 1st Jan, i think only 2 other times in my life I have felt excited for a new year. Like I said, I generally fall ill or something goes on in my life , and it is always winter here. Or it is something that means the new year isn’t new for me.. but it is fine as I have many new months and days in nhe year and I like that more, as they are mini check in for me.
