Life Lessons – Repeat Until We Learn

Life is one big lesson or a series of lesson.

Life is an opportunity to be a better person each and every day.

Lessons  will come into our life.

Lessons will come into our life – repeatedly until we learn the lesson. There was a film called Groundhog Day with Bill Murry (to this day I haven’t watched it end to end).  Basically, Bill Murry would wake up to the same day again and again until he learned what he had to.

In the same way lessons will repeat until we learn.

A fact of life is that a lesson will come to you again and again until that lesson is learnt.

The lesson may come to you in different disguises but  it will repeatedly come to us until we learn what we need to learn.

This is why it is important to carry out self analysis, to read inspiring things, to be positive , and to totally understand your feelings and moods regularly (daily) .

When you understand yourself and make effort to become a better person, you learn so much and then you are able to figure out that why this lesson keeps coming to us.

It is because I am not learning the lesson, so I need to change something in me, to grow from the lessons, for me to be able to banish that lesson – and move onto the next one.

Remember you can not change another, the only person you can change is you.

And remember a lesson will come to you again and again and it might even take ten years before we learn the lesson!  Well hopefully it won’t take that long!

Groundhog day –   I know it is a bit oh my God – Really.    But, if we accept certain truths in life simply by living a life of accepting our experiences then life isn’t that bad.  It is a game where I become a better person each and every day and I am not lost in laziness, procrastination and pretending it is someones fault.

If I believe that there is benefit in everything, then there will be benefit in everything.

  1. (to this day I haven’t watched it end to end)

OMG how can you not have watched all of Groundhog Day? It’s one of my favourite movies. I watched it again last Groundhog Day… and that time I counted (as well as I could) how many times Our Hero wakes up on February 2nd. My tally was 30 (although the total has to be more than that, a great many repeat days are implied).

  2. Groundhog Day is my favorite movie as a metaphor for life! 🙂 Your post is so alive for me with meaning – truly we keep circling back to square one, as I like to say, until we just get it how we are supposed to make a different choice. I just now posted something not exactly but on similar lines.

  3. Soooo good Bella!

I’ve had many lessons return to me, exactly like you said, with different variations or in different places or with different people but the SAME lesson.

And this happened until I got it and then after that, whenever similar circumstances occurred, I handled them with more ease.

    Enlightening post ❤️🤗

  4. Fantastic post, Bella. This is so true, my friend, “It is because I am not learning the lesson, so I need to change something in me, to grow from the lessons, for me to be able to banish that lesson – and move onto the next one.” Completely agree. Excellent.

  5. very wise words Bella, but I can’t believe that you haven’t watched Groundhog Day right through … it’s an incredible lesson on how we must learn each and every lesson in order to move on 🙂

  6. You always make a good point with your idea of allowing repeat problems or situations to speak to us and let us hear the lesson they’re trying to teach. I definitely find myself resisting learning. Sometimes it’s easy to blame other people or our circumstances. But I hope by listening and hearing the lesson, maybe I can break out of certain cycles.

    • Thank you. You will learn and you will get there. I find somethings we learn faster and others take longer. But it is okay as we learn eventually. I speak from experience. I still have lessons to learn.. 🤐😏😒🙄
