Since, I started blogging in 2016 I created a Facebook page and Twitter page, and learnt how to automatically post a blog post to my Facebook and Twitter when a blog post is published on my http://www.thoughtsnlifeblog.com page.
To do this is very simple, on your WordPress.com dashboard navigate to Tools > Connection and click on connect and add in the relevant details to your social media accounts – and bingo all your blog posts will automatically be shared.

I am now deciding not to automatically share to my social media accounts for a few reasons: – On the Twitter I find it difficult to remember to use the right hashtags, and I feel that they don’t always appear on Twitter when I look! On Facebook, sometimes I want to add more text and I find I don’t always remember when I have it automatically posts.
Therefore, I have decided to remove automatic sharing of my blog post to these platforms. I will manually share via scheduling tools, that allow me to use hashtags (different ones per day) and add text accordingly. See links below on how to do this for free.

However …
My blog posts can be shared via the sharing buttons that are on all my blog posts.
The purpose of this newsletter – email list, is to share
- Something Exclusive
- All things Positive and Inspiring,
- My writing journey, for example – my attempt at drafting my first book ever (non-fiction),
- My blogging and social media journey and the new tools I am using.
- My life journey, and much more.
All of which I hope you will find interesting.
This newsletter will come to you either, monthly, bi-weekly, every six weeks, or when something exciting is about to be announced. The point being I will not bombard you!
Thank you for supporting us. Thoughtsnlifeblog.com
I share my posts automatically to both twitter and Facebook, Bella. I have two twitter accounts and two FB pages for my two blogs. A useful post, thanks for sharing.

Sharing automatically is really helpful and makes life easier to manage – for sure. And I might even return to it. But, I was getting a bit annoyed and not getting the hashtags right for twitter, and sometimes I don’t want stuff shared on facebook, or I want to change the blurb around it. Also the free scheduling tools make it a nice options to share at different times of the day and different days.
You are amazing two blogs, two fb pages, two twitter, instagram. I can’t manage one of everything.

I agree with you, I never really chose auto share for other media because I usually have a slightly different text for how I share. I don’t have any fb page though, I just post on my public profile.

Thank you for sharing your process. I created a page on fb to keep things separate, because I didn’t want people to know I blog..🤫

I still share automatically to Facebook but I always share manually to Twitter so I can customize the hashtags

Thank you so much for sharing what you do on your blog. It is so useful to know what other bloggers do, just as a confirmation that I am on the right track. Many thanks really appreciate it.
