The only thing that was ever wrong with me was my belief that there was something wrong with me – Glennon Doyle

This quote came on my Instagram feed yesterday. It resonated with me, and I almost cried.
I can’t say I spent my whole life in this state of thinking. But, I did spend too many days with this belief. Well, okay, Years!
I carried this feeling in my youth and young adulthood. It stemmed from being bullied at school. Which then puts a weird fear in you that you take into your young adult life and all interactions.
Not sure when I got rid of a good percentage of this feeling.
For many years I worked on myself and got past a lot of the baggage, only for new layers to appear!
I gained so much strength from all the inner work I did and continue to do.
Occasionally, I might slip. However, I don’t stay there too long.
This quote allowed me to appreciate my journey and shed a tear of joy and pride. It allowed me to acknowledge the battle of the past and the victory in which I now walk.
Sometimes we have to acknowledge our journey- it is good for our healing.

Yes I can relate so hard to this. Feeling like there was something wrong with me affected my interactions for years, too. It made it hard to look people in the eye. I just remind myself that we can change if we try.

Yes Bella we have to acknowledge our journey. A very nice read and we always blame ourselves for everything and then go through sorrow and misery.
